The District Chief Executive for Sekyere south District Assembly in the Ashanti region, Hon Catherine Reckling has assured her people of strengthen a social welfare program dubbed. ’Child panel’ aim to providing parental care control arbitration for the youth who turns to teenage pregnancy and also sometimes leads to court and other litigation that results in curses and the consequences goes to the innocent children.
Speaking to Radio 1 news Hon .Rickeling disclosed that the program that commenced decades ago and had a lot of intervention as the social welfare department at Agona was in charge and other partners from south Africa expressed interest to help the program, but later the program collapsed due to change of Government and hence to revitalize it to help the youth as they sensitize them also into training by vacation and other entrepreneurial skills and also liase with the court to solve the issues amicable without any mishap by both parties.
Hon. Catherine says this social outfit will go long way to foster good relationship with youth and child panel outfit by so doing will minimize tendency social vices like, Stealing, drug abuse, robbery, rape cases etc, that adversely affect the society.
