The St. Stephens Presbyterian Senior High School in Akyem Asiakwa in the Eastern region has inaugurated it newly reconstituted Board of Governors .
During the program, the Eastern regional director of education, Ms. Gertrude Mensah acknowledge the outgoing board members for a good work done. She also advised the newly board members to work hard for the betterment of the school.
Ms Gertrude added that the new board members should make sure they monitor the implementation of the development of the school and also they should advise the stuff not to take illegal levy from the students and their parents. Ms Gertrude charge the student ” if any stuff take illegal money, the student should report to the management of the school” .
The chairman of the board members also gave a short speech to his members and said, “You only get what you want if you know what you really want”. According to him, the teachers should do their best to teach the students for them to achieve their goal in future rather than to take small tips (money) from them, because there is blessing on that and also their parents believe they can help build their children to become great people in the future. He urged both teachers and the non-teaching stuff to work in humility.
The chairman advised the students to comport themselves, especially the female students not to let the guys deceive them .
He finally charged, ” the newly inaugurated board members for the school” to bring a good change to the school.
