Stop organising unnecessary press conferences minority charged

The Member of Parliament for Abura constituency in the Central region, Hon. Elvis Morris Donkor has described the minority in parliament consistent press conference as incompetence and noise making press conferences always held by minority on every issue.

His comment fellows the minority press conference on the contaminated fuel which was alert on market recently by the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP).

According to him, the minority are ignorance about the information on the contaminated fuel. He charged them to seek all the details about the issues pertaining the contaminated fuel from the office of the register general department.

Hon. Elvis Donkor was speaking on Radio 1 breakfast show dubbed ‘’Susubribi’’ with host Captain Kofi Owusu, he said ‘’they should go and check the directors of the company at the register general department office and when it come to the conclusion that, this person or that person is responsible, then there is a conflict of such ‘as simple as that’ and stop organising unnecessary press conference.’’ he lamented.

The Minority in parliament at it press conference on Tuesday demanded an immediate interdiction of the head of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST) over the raging controversy about the contaminated fuel. The minority insists the circumstances under 5million litres of fuel was contaminated and sold under bizarre circumstances to a new company is dubious and has led to a 14.25million financial loss to the state.

The minority spokesperson on energy Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah wants Alfred Obeng and all the litres of contaminated fuel withdrawn from the market. The concern comes after confirmation that five million litres of contaminated fuel was sold off by BOST to two unlicensed companies – Zup Oil and Movenpiina.

But Hon. Elvis Donkor described the move by minority as futile and ignorance about the information.
