Danny Nettey left a huge void – Nii Okai

Popular Gospel musician Nii Okai says the late Minister Danny Nettey drew people to the purpose of ministry his passing has left a huge void in his many people’s lives.

Born Ernest Nii Okai-Okai, he said for many like himself and other great gospel musicians who were inspired by the late musicians’ ministry are yet to fill that void his demise has created.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the ‘House of Pain’ hit maker registered his pleasure Mr Nettey encouraged and mentored other musicians to follow his path and do better in worshipping God.

“You can’t talk about Danny Nettey without talking about worship. Anywhere he went, he left that legacy of making God the prime focus of whatever we do as musicians,” he said.

Nii Okai, who also doubles as the leader of the Harbor City Mass Choir added that as a result of the mentorship he received from Minister Danny Nettey, he has decided to carry on with his good works.

He also announced organising a concert in September this year to mark his 40th Birthday anniversary where he will launch his sixth album.

Minister Danny Nettey passed to glory on July 15, 2016, last year and in memory of his passing, Stratcom Africa has organised a concert at the College of Physicians and Surgeons to honour the ‘I will worship you’ hit maker.
