NPP will stay in power for a long time – Former NDC MP

Michael Teye Nyaunu, outspoken former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency believes current happenings in the party makes the grounds fertile for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stay in power for a long time.

He observed that attacks and counter attacks amidst mud throwing are not firmly grounding the NDC to win any competitive election in the party in the future because it appears to be in disarray.

“The same persons who are supposed to champion reorganization are attacking each other and throwing mud at themselves and making the grounds fertile for the NPP to stay in power for a very long time. We are destroying the party and the likes of Dr Valerie Sawyerr are the cause of what is happening to the party”, he revealed on Accra-based Okay FM.

He wondered why leading members will refuse to pursue the general interest of the party but are rather focused on individual interests.

“She must shut up or else I will fire a long-range missile and she will regret . I will fire a long-range missile and she will regret it if she talks again. I am talking my mind I have not seen Rawlings and I do not hold brief for the former president. She should get into the party and start reorganization”, he said.

He described the comments of Dr Valerie Sawyerr’s about Rawlings as disrespectful saying she was one of those fooling around yet and want the party’s father to be part its 2016 campaign.
