The Eastern Regional Minister Eric KwakyeDaffour has reiterated the need for parent to exercise restraint and follw of their words due process in the admission.
This was in an interview with Radio 1 news when the minister visited some senior High schools in koforidua to have first hand information on the admission process,He said the student were sent to the school, and it is the duty of the Head of the school to admit them.
According to the minister the Heads will use their discreation to segregate the students into boarding and day students considering where student come from.The minister urged parents who did not not get the boarding status to bear the cost of hostel accommodation and said such students will be admitted into the boarding house when they reach the third year.
Speaking to a Radio 1 correspondent Nana Addo a cross-section of parents when he visited koforidua SEC-TECH complained of the process being slow with some parents becoming hungry, others said they travelled long distances and could not afford to go to continue the process if need be, they had to sleep over.
The parents appealed to the authorities to expedite action on the admission.
