Sefwi Cocoa Farmers Association Lauds Prez. On Cocoa Processing Factory

The Combined Groups of Cocoa Growing Farmers at Sefwi ( Sefwi Cocoa Farmers Association) in the Western region has today issues a statement signed by its coordinator Mr. Fiifi kwateng expressing their happiness for hearing the details of Nana Addo’s meeting with cocoa foundation during the 72 general assembly meeting of the united nations (UN) for it intense of establishing a Cocoa Processing Factory in the region.

According to Mr. Kwateng, President intense of Processing Cocoa for export is a good call to re-brand the industry for excellent value which will create jobs for the youth and the people of sefwi with the help of the Factory.

He stated that, the country’s problem of rural urban migration will be reduced if the government fulfill it promised.

The coordinator of ‘Sefwi Cocoa Farmers Association’ explained that, most factories are impounded in the cities which are far from the source of raw materials, but with the Factory at Sefwi it will help in the Cocoa Production, because Sefwi is capable of producing about 40% of Ghana’s Cocoa.

”Its about time sefwi Wiawso and its environs witness a cocoa processing factory.” he lamented.

 He pleaded with Nana Addo’s administration not to repeat the mistake the previous gov’t did by promising them and latter failing to build a Cocoa Processing Factory, but make it a reality.

”At least if he is able to give us just one cocoa processing company to serve the area, we will be happy.” he suggested.
