Kumawood’s Agya Koo More Popular Than Dumelo – Tourism Minister

The Minister Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has said Kumawood actor Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo is more popular than fellow actor John Dumelo. 

According to Catherine Afeku, a survey conducted by her ministry found that Kumawood actor is miles ahead in the popularity contest which added to their decision to chose him.

Madam Afeku disclosed that big stars including like Jackie Appiah, Kojo Antwi, Lil Win, Daddy Lumba and several others will soon have their app like Agya Koo has.

“We are in the business of placing Ghanaian content at the disposal of viewers worldwide and the artistes are signed on to produce popular content.

“This includes already existing content, that will run as a series in the name of the artistes and it is already showing on most of the mobile phones,” she added.

Checks by Myjoyonline showed that John Dumelo has 2.1 million followers on Instagram, Twitter followers are 401,000 and on Facebook, he has  5.1 million likes. However, Agya Koo had less exposure on social media.
