[Video] Drunken Policeman Storms Trotro With AK47

A drunken gun wielding Ghanaian policeman has been captured on video on-board a commercial mini bus in Accra, putting the lives of the passengers at risk.

The incident which happened Tuesday in a Madina-bound trotro from Accra Central has since gone viral on social media.

The police officer, whose identity is yet to be established, appears to have closed from duty and was returning to his station or home when he was captured on tape.

Wearing his official uniform, the policeman held in his right hand the gun said to be AK47 while he had in her left hand a helmet in which he had a police reflective vest.

Due to the level of drunkenness, he could hardly sit still as he was seen occasionally losing his balance.

He kept talking to himself but could hardly make sense from what he was saying as captured on the video which was first shared on Facebook and has since gone viral.

He said in Twi: “When you smoke wee, people complain, when you drink too they complain. Now I don’t know whether to smoke or drink; what foolishness!”

He continued: “I don’t have a problem with anyone, if you call me I won’t mind you. I’m going to my room”.

Meanwhile, the Police say the conduct of the officer as captured in the video has been brought to its attention and was tracking him down for the necessary action to be taken.

A top police officer at the police headquarters who doesn’t want to be quoted told 3News correspondent “Seen my brother. Police are working on it. Hmmnnnnn,” when the video was shared with him for a comment.
