Mr. Michael Ologo, an aspiring Member of Parliament for Yilo Krobo Constituency in the Eastern region had maintained an earlier position that, logistics and other electoral kits meant for the 2016 general elections by the NDC, including the entire collating set up was entrusted to Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the Communication Minister in the erstwhile NDC John Dramani Mahama’s administration, and not the NDC’s current vice chairman and aspiring national chairman, Hon. Samuel Ofosu – Ampofo who also doubles as the party’s director of elections as some persons within the NDC, would want discerning minds in the party to believe.
The revelation comes on the wake of some faceless party members in the National Democratic Congress who have sort to flood social media with several questionable stories and write ups, and are hell bent to discredit Hon. Ampofo’s chances to lead the party as national chairman, and annexed victory over the New Patriotic Party during the 2020 elections, for both Presidential and Parliamentary.
Mr. Ologo is however of the view that any one who wish to ascertain and vet the veracity of this piece could do so by either establishing contact with the former communication’s minister or visit the national Secretariat of the party in order to be abreast with the fine details and further and better particulars regarding the issue.
He bemoaned further by saying that ” a section of Hon. Ampofo’s contenders have realized the dexterity and strategic innovative approach, to which his campaign machinery is soaring and so they are cooking up unnecessary attacks and empty lies against his candidature” The statement added on midday news on ahotor FM (92.3) Friday – 28/09/2018 during a scoop with Nana Dogbe.
Furthermore, he chides Mr. Ofosu Ampofo’s critics to brace up for more ” setting the record straight” platform which will be used as academic exercise and defensive forum to debunk any unwarranted attacks and vile victimization against Hon. Ampofo, before the said designated date is due for the national delegates conference to elects national office holders of the party in November, 2018.
