Stop Peddling Lies, John Mahama Did Not Tour Eastern Region By Helicopter – NDC Communication Director

The Deputy Regional Communication Director of  the opposition National Democratic congress NDC for Eastern Region, Michel Akorli has set the records straight that it is never true that the Former President, John Dramani Mahama used helicopter during his visit to the Afram Plains when he was in power and that such comments are unguided and lack credibility.

 

He made this known to Radio1fm 100.7 Susubiribi Morning Show following a press release from the office of the Presidency which sentenced on the comments made by the chief of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Kwasi Mintah depicting that other President’s have made similar trips to the area but by helicopter of which they cannot ascertain the extent of the poor road in the area.

Michael Akorli said he believes that the chief was advising the President, Nana Akuffo-Addo to continue travelling by Road in all his tour in the whole country as he has done in his three days tour in the Eastern Region but was baffled when the chief compared him to the former president.

He said it’s never true that the former President used helicopter in his tour when he was in power and urged Ghanaians not to believe what the chief said because he thinks it was by mistake on the part of the chief.

The newly installed Chief of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Kwasi Mintah thanked the President, Nana Akuffo-Addo for not coming by a helicopter during his visit as a part of the three days tour in the Eastern Region to inspect the various projects going on and also interact with the people as well as know their needs which started from Thursday 22nd November, 2018 and ended on Saturday 24th November, 2018.
