The synod secretary for Koforidua Diocese Of the Methodist church Ghana, Very Rev. Dr Samuel Dua Dodd, has waded into the lifestyle and upbringing of the youth of today.
According to him, Ghanaians are gradually losing the tradition. The tradition of respect, good character and being serviceable.
In an interview with Radio1News at the one week celebration of the late George Somuah Bosompem, the murdered Asiakwa teacher, the very rev. Dr Samuel Dua said he believes a part of the attitudinal change in the youth of today are of irresponsibility on the part of the parents and guardians.
“What has happened at Asiakwa today has revealed that we are losing our tradition. For me I think there are many factors because in the olden days, we were brought up to be respectful, Godfearing but not there anymore,” the pastor said.

He continued to task the parents to do their possible best because in bringing up their children because they will take shame or fame from the dos and don’ts of these children.
“If you train your child well it becomes a blessing unto you. You feel proud and happy when you see your child doing the right thing or when the right thing is said about your child. Unfortunately, you will hide when you child constantly brings shame to you”, Very rev. Dr Dua added.
