2020 Polls: Akufo-Addo Preaching Virtues But Practicing Vices – Victor Smith

A former Ambassador to the United Kingdom, UK under the erstwhile John Dramani Manama’s NDC administration, H.E. Ambassador Victor Smith has accused the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party, NPP of always preaching the virtue and practicing the vice.

According to the vociferous NDC stalwart, the president of Ghana, and the governing party are publicly campaigning for the disbandment of vigilante groups yet turn around to train tugs to cause mayhem in the 2020 elections.

In a studio interview with citizen Kofi Wusu on Ahotor fm 92.3 on 28th February, 2020, NDC’s Victor Smith boldly said without mincing words that the NPP are hiding and training tugs to supervise the December 7 polls.

“The president goes to Parliament and tells them, the big parties should meet and disband vigilantism and you are busy training footsoldiers as vigilantes or in fake uniforms as forest guards or whatever and your intention is to use them during the election instead of the regular professional police and soldiers”- Ambassador Victor Smith revealed.

He thus assured the general public and the numerous party faithfuls and supporters that they are monitoring them and would prepare to face them.

He added that they would resist any intimidation and surge forward towards victory for the come back of former president John Dramani Mahama.

He therefore urged party executives to give their all out in ensuring NDC takes back power come January 7 2021.

Meanwhile the NDC, according to the national peace council has failed to sign the bond that will ensure both parties disband their vigilante groups.
