Covid-19 Fight(AUDIO): Stop Sharing Mobile Phones, They Are Possible Vectors- MCE Advises

The municipal Chief executive for Abuakwa South municipal Assembly, Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo has advised the general public near and far to stop sharing mobile phones since they are vectors for the novel pandemic covid-19.

According to the affable and hardworking municipal chief executive, his most concern is those who pretend they don’t know what is going on until they become prey to the disease.

On a phone interview on Radio 1fm, 100.7MHZ, he revealed that coronavirus is real and therefore entreated all and sundry to as a matter of urgency treat it with care and intensify the hygiene protocols and directives outlined by the president H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the fight of the deadly pandemic.

“My concern is those who pretend and act as if they are not aware of the disease. It is very dangerous. I’ll advise that people practice and observe the hygiene protocols. The deadly coronavirus is real and has claimed so many lives worldwide. Please observe the social distance, wash your hands with soap under running water. Stop sharing mobile phones. The idea that people even pass on their mobile phones to others when making calls is bad. Please let’s stop that. If you want to speak together with one on the same phone, put it on loud speaker, observe some social distance and talk without passing on the phone”- Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo added.

However, he used the opportunity to further advise the public to balance the diets, eat good foods and avoid junk ones so as to help build the immune system to fight the novel coronavirus.

“Keep yourselves at a distance from others, take your bath more frequently and eat good foods. If the intake of meat is too much, eat the local ones to build your immune system so that if by mistake you contract the disease, your immune system will fight back” Hon. added.

Moreover, he used the opportunity to announce their readiness to fumigate 4 markets tomorrow, April 4 2020 in the municipality. The markets to be affected are: Kibi Market, Asafo market, Asiakwa market and Apedwa market.
