Lil Win Apologises To Opuni For Defamation

The celebrated kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known in Ghana as Lil Win has today rendered an unqualified apology to former COCOBOD C. E. O. Dr Stephen Opuni for defamatory story against the latter in 2018.
Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win through his program, ‘Don’t Think Far News’ on Adom Tv had in his bulletin that the former COCOBOD C. E. O. mismanaged and misappropriated the nation’s fund and thereby caused financial loss to the state.
“I am Kwadwo Nkansah Lil win. If you remember, i was having a program on Adom TV, called ‘Don’t think far News’ and on 24th March 2018, i did a story about Dr Stephen Opuni for mismanaging public funds even to the extent of alleging that he used part of the nation’s money to build house on his late mother’s grave. I want to categorically say that all i said were not true. So i want to use this opportunity to beg Dr Opuni to forgive me and my entire crew. Dr Opuni, please forgive us” – Lil Win remorsefully said.
Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ghana COCOBOD on 30th November, 2013 after serving as the Chief Executive of the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority from April 2009 until the end of November, 2013.

He replaced Anthony Fofie, who headed COCOBOD from 2009. He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cocoa Marketing Company Ghana Limited (CMC), Cocoa Marketing Company UK Limited (CMC-UK) as well as the Quality Control Company Limited (QCC) of Ghana Cocoa Board.
