This Is Why NPP Won 2016 Elections – NDC MP Reveals

A former minister in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama – led NDC administration, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh (former Minister of lands and natural resources), has revealed that prior to the 2016 election, the then opposition New Patriotic Party, NPP packaged their then flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to look saint and paint the then president, John Mahama evil.

According to him, they (NPP) made the good people of Ghana buy into their product an accorded them their faith to deliver but has woefully failed Ghanaians.

Speaking on Badwam, a morning show program on Adom TV, Hon. Mintah Akandoh praised the NPP for that feat but warned them for betraying Ghanaians for unfulfilled promises.

The Juaboso legislator described the branding of the then presidential candidate as buying pig in the poke.

“You see what the NPP did prior to the 2016 election? They were able to brand Nana Addo like putting liquid soap into a box and sell as mobile phone and the people of Ghana bought into that and gave them power. Now what do we see? Hunger everywhere. Now their brand has failed” – Hon. Mintah Akandoh said.

He therefore advised the NPP to listen to the advise Otumfuor Osei Tutu II once gave to the president of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that Ghanaians voted against Mahama because of hunger so Nana Addo must take lesson from that.

Hon. Kwabena Minta Akandoh has been the member of parliament for Juaboso constituency in the western region on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC from 2013 to date.
