Covid-19 Fight: Global Death Rate Decreases By 4%

The fight against the deadly coronavirus pandemic globally has seen a decline in the death rate as at July 1 2020.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, worldwide is hit with 519,083 death though 6,032,985 have fully recovered from a total of 10,810,307 confirmed cases leaving the globe to still battle with 4,258,239 active cases.

In as much as every country is doing all it could to avert the adverse effects of the pandemic and scientists seriously working for it’s vaccine, this novel virus is claiming lives of the innocents. While the trend has not been straight, it is a relief that as at July 1 2020, the daily death rate is reduced by 4%.

There have been decline since 26th June until John 30 where there was a spike of 48% and gladly decreased by 4%.

On June 26, the daily death tool decreased from 5,170 to 4,843 with change in death being -327 representing -6%. Consequently, 27th June recorded 4,558 death (representing -6%), 28th recorded 3,470 (representing -24%), 29th also recorded 3429 (representing -1%) until 30th June saw a shoot up in death records of 5,062 representing 48%. July i recorded 4,847 with a difference of -215 representing -4%

However, USA is more hit with death with total death of 130,798 followed by Brazil which has also recorded 60,713 total death. UK (43,906), Italy (34,788) and France (29,861) follow respectively.
