Covid-19: Ghana’s Death Toll Hits 117 With Recovery Of 13,550 Recovery

The deadly novel Covid-19 pandemic has once again claimed additional five lives in Ghana after 24hrs bringing the total death from 112 to 117 after recording 393 new cases.

The nation has so far recorded 18,134 confirmed cases, 13,550 recoveries/discharge, 4,467 active cases and 393 news cases. Greater Accra is the most hit with 10, 087 cases followed by Ashanti region which has also recorded 3,676 cases.

Though there is spike in the death toll, Ghana is the second country in the 10 mist hit countries in Africa with low death rate.

Below is the regional breakdown of the confirmed cases.

Western Region – 1,556

Central Region – 973

Eastern Region – 668

Volta Region – 346

Upper East Region – 274

Northern Region – 137

Oti Region – 112

Western North Region – 102

Bono East Region – 89

Savannah Region – 42

Upper West Region – 40

Bono Region – 18

Ahafo Region – 8

North East Region – 6
