The Eastern Regional NABCO Coordinator who doubles as the eastern regional deputy Communication Director for the governing New Patriotic Party, Alhaji Seidu, popularly called Alhaji Opass, has denied claims by the National Democratic Congress NDC parliamentary candidate and the constituency chairman of Akyem Abuakwa North that Hon Gifty Twum Ampofo, the deputy minister of education in charge of TVET who double as the member of Parliament for Akyem Abuakwa North planning to collapse Only Believe Senior High school belonging to the NDC parliamentary candidate Mr Ozey.
According to Alhaji Opass, the NDC constituency chairman, Siaw David Frimpong and the parliamentary candidate Mr Ozey over the last few weeks on Nopras FM Pai mu ka show accussed the member of Parliament claiming,she has had a meeting to collapse Only Believe SHS, which their purported allegations of intimidation, defamation, frustration and harassment by the deputy minister of education was just the case of crying Wolf when there was non,
” The proprietor of the said school also NDC parliamentary candidate interviewed on Nopras FM which he claimed Hon Gifty Twum Ampofo has authorized BNI and police personnels to invigilate his school just to put some fear and panic, and also to frustrate the candidates writing the West African Examination (WASSCE)
Again he claimed the deputy minister of education sat in the school exams hall invigilating, which are all typical lies
Alhaji Opass speaking to the media said ” we decided to ignored them initially but is time we provide appropriate response to any unsubstantiated claims made by the chairman and the parliamentary candidate of the NDC in the Abuakwa North
He disclose to the media how the headmaster of the school confirmed to the Municipal Education Director when visited Only Believe SHS yesterday
” The headmaster of Only Believe SHS name withheld has confirmed to the municipal education director, the MP who was accused, the NPP constituency chairman and other media personnels that all those allegations and accusations made by the proprietor and the constituency chairman of the NDC was just a political blackmailing to tannish the image of the deputy minister of education, the incident that happened in the school was just a misunderstanding among the candidates within.
Alhaji Opass said, the NPP will not sit aloof to allow anyone to tannish the good image or to undermine their industrious MP
He finally praised the MP for her leadership qualities and the numerous projects and programmes she has been providing for the constituents.
