The deadly novel coronavirus pandemic has not only affected the financial sector of the globe, but has unleashed adverse effects on the Ghanaian Education as Basic Schools are temporarily brought to a halt as part of the President’s efforts and directives to mitigant the effects of the pandemic.
Pupils in the primary schools are most affected and critical thinkers needed to think outside the box to improvise in order to help bridge the gap during the break.
Due to this, a non profitable non-governmental organisation, Care for Society Network International (CfSNI), brought about a comprehensive Radio Learning program dubbed ‘Deep Reach Community Radio Learning’ for the primary school pupils especially in the remote areas. Experienced teachers teach on Radio from Monday to Sunday each day within the week from 5:15pm – 6:00pm.
This has been one of the engaging and educational programs in Ghana since audience and listeners are given the opportunity to phone in to answer some questions and also submit their assignments. Loyal participants are awarded and the program currently runs on Radio 1 100.7fm, a Media establishment in the Eastern region.
Like it is said, One good turn deserves another. The NGO has done a lot and are currently running out of resources and therefore appeal to the general public, political parties, individuals and other organisations to support them financially to help keep the program running.
“We are excited! Currently, Deep Reach Community Radio Learning is reaching out to more children than we expected. Thank God we are making an impact. Children are learning and sharing what they’ve learnt. Support this cause to keep us online.

It is with the hope that the financial resources would keep flowing so as the program would also keep running even after the nation resumes to normalcy.
