The Only Lower Primary School In This Community Is Nothing But A Death Trap In Fanteakwa South District

Undoubtedly, education is one of the topmost priorities of the governing New Patriotic Party, NPP, as the president of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has pledged to ensure quality education in a serene environment.

In as much as most communities jubilate over enhancing school infrastructure across Ghana, same can not be said of ‘Bonkame’, a community in the FANTEAKWA south district in the eastern region.

Residents of Bonkame in the FANTEAKWA south district are denied of quality and good educational environment as the dilapidated structure called ‘Bonkabe D/A primary school’ is now a death trap.

The structure which is built with mud without cement is not good to write about and it’s currently a death trap.

On record, this is the only lower primary school in the community with the mud house which looked like was built in the 60’s does not deserve to be used as a school building.

Attention is not given to the community but the Bonkame community has one (1) polling station during election.

It is about time leaders and philanthropists attend to them since education in this community is tatted and the kids are deprived of quality education in a Serene environment.

The interesting aspect of it is that politicians go there to campaign. Bonkame deserves better. The member of Parliament for Fanteakwa south must wake up. The district chief executive must also wake up, Bonkame deserves the best!
