Election 2020: NDC Invades President’s Backyard As Massive Crowd Gather At Kyebi In Wait For Chairman Ofosu Ampofo

As people thought Abuakwa South constituency, especially Kyebi, is a no go area for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, for the fact that Kyebi is the home of the president and undoubtedly a stronghold of the governing New Patriotic Party, the National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo invades the territory today November 28 2020, as he receives a rousing welcome at Kyebi.

Though his visit to Kyebi was not planned since he passed by after a peace walk at Adeiso, the overwhelming support he received speaks volumes that the NDC in Abuakwa south constituency in the eastern region, most especially Kyebi is in competition and would be very competitive in the upcoming general election.

In a cheerful and more exciting atmosphere, the national chairman of NDC, Hon Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo who was taken aback for the immense support, confidently assured the gathering that his presidential candidate Mr John Dramani Mahama would win the upcoming election should all the gathering vote for him.

He added that he is confident to have received a very much more rousing welcome if he had given them prior notice of his visit, however, he urged them to consider Alhaji Sanusi as the next member of Parliament for the constituency.

He took his visit to three other communities in the constituencies and the reception was wow! The communities he visited are Asikam, Adukrom and Sagyimase.

He was accompanied by the former ambassador to UK, Ambassador Victor Smith and other very important personalities of the party.
