Health: Ghana’s Covid-19 Cases Surpasses China’s Cases

Despite the first case of the deadly novel Covid-19 pandemic being recorded in China, the country has been able to contain and control its spread among the citizens and residents of China.

Though the globe is putting in measures to control this pandemic, a few statistics reveal that Ghana is the 94th most hit country with a cumulative case counts of 92,856 while China which is 96th most hit has also recorded a cumulative case counts of 90,739.

Though Ghana has recorded more cases than China, China has recorded more deaths than Ghana. As at today May 7 2021, Ghana has recorded 783 death while 6 are in critical condition and are battling with 1,593 active cases. A total of 90,480 have fully recovered and discharged. With a total population of 31,618,263, a total of 1,108,763 have been tested.

On the other hand, China has recorded 4,636 death while 3 others are in serious condition and the country is battling with 308 active cases. A total of 85,795 have fully recovered and discharged. With a population of 1,439,323,776, a total of 160,000,000 citizens have been tested.

As the globe has found a vaccine for this deadly pandemic, it is the hope that death toll reduces drastically in the coming months.
