Most Drivers Do Not Understand Their Insurance Policies- Insurance Manager

While many drivers and road users think once a vehicle is insured they are secured, the eastern regional manager for Priority Insurance, Boniface Asante Bediatuo has revealed that most drivers do not understand the insurance policies the apply for.

According to, Boniface Asante, while many people think any policy covers properties and the individuals or victims, it has never been so since each policy has its own benefits.

In a studio discussion with Obido Nana Gyasi of Radio 1, the intelligent and hardworking manager, Boniface Asante said there are various kinds of policies every driver should be abreast with its benefits. He revealed that there are; i. Third Party only, ii. third party, fire and theft, iii. comprehensive policies.

” We have a lot of policies. What is most common to to drivers is the third party only policy. With this policy, they insure only the third party they inflict damage to / on excluding the car. That is the legal liability to others. We also have third party, fire and theft. With this the car is insured in case of theft and fire and well as causing damage to any third party. And the comprehensive policy encompasses all the policies and including the owners. These drivers fail to know the benefits of these policies and its about time they looked into their benefits before applying. ” – Boniface Asante said.

He noted that most drivers and car owners choose third party only policy because of it’ s equivalent cost.
