Four old students of Cape Coast Technical University from the 2003 Secretarial and Management year group, have made a donation to Nkronso Methodist JHS in the Abuakwa South Municipalilty in the eastern region of Ghana.
Upon a request from a colleague who also happens to be an old student of Cape Coast Technical University, Madam Beatrice Myles, a teacher of Nkronso JHS, to assist them of educational / learning materials, they did not hesitate.
The four donors, Sophia Adu, Betty Quarm, Abeiku Fynn and Robert Annan Duncan made the said donation through Madam Beatrice Myles to the school.
She presented 25 copies of Cockcrow literature books on behalf of the donors.
That not alone, Mr Nhyira Boakye Yiadom, a native of Akyem Nkronso and former NPP Youth organiser for Abuakwa South constituency also presented to them a ceiling fan upon their request.
The head teacher, Mr Twum Ampofo Thomas used the opportunity to thank them for their benevolence but like Oliver twist, asked for more.
He made a passionate appeal to NGOs, philanthropists and the general public at large to also see this as a benchmark to support them with other essential educational materials.
According to Mr Twum Ampofo Thomas, the school is in dire need of other literature books to enhance reading and understanding. They need IT equipment such as Laptops, Printers and projectors. He also asked for support for cupboards.
Doing good is natural but it is rare to find someone who is willing to do something for someone without anything in return. God bless you for supporting them.
