Accra Great Olympics Chief Executive Officer Oloboi Commodore has been charged by the Ghana Football Association for passing hurtful comments against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and the Ghana Premier League.

A Ghana FA statement reads: The Chief Executive Officer of Accra Great Olympics Oloboi Commodore has also been charged on two counts of misconducts for comments he made in a radio interview.
The controversial administrator went ballistic on Accra-based radio station Happy FM and made unsubstantiated allegations against rival club Hearts of Oak ahead of the Accra derby which was played last Sunday. In the commentary Oloboi claimed the Phobians were at the summit of the Ghana Premier League table due to favours from referees.

The comments generated heat between the two clubs in the build up to the match involving the two clubs at the Accra Sports Stadium and the Ghana FA have taken action against him for passing those comments against Hearts of Oak and the Ghana Premier League.

Ghana Sports Online editor El Akyereko said the Ghana Football Association’s Ethics wing needed to take action against Oloboi for those hurtful comments which caused direct damage to the image of the Ghana Premier League.

He could be slapped with a hefty fine or a ban if he not able to justify his comments before the Ghana FA’s Ethics Committee.

The Ghana FA statement further reads: The comment is deemed to be an offensive statement which in the opinion of the Association, is ungentlemanly and likely to bring the game into disrepute. The Club and the official are expected to submit their Statements of Defence or appear in person before the GFA Disciplinary Committee.
