PHC21: Fanteakwa South Successfully Enumerates MP, DCE, Eminent Chiefs Other VIPs

The fanteakwa South District Census has today successfully enumerated the Member of Parliament for the Fanteakwa south constituency, eminent chiefs in the district, the district chief executive and the district coordinating director.

The Member of Parliament for the constituency, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum popularly known as Arafat was glad to be enumerated. He urged all residents of the fanteakwa South district to make the exercise a smooth one by availing themselves to be counted. Hon. Arafat acknowledged the tireless work of the Ghana Statistical Service and the importance of Census to the nation as well as its relevance in building the district.

He added that the total population in the district will help them lobby for amenities and also provide jobs in the district. Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum advised the citizenry to avail themselves to be counted and also urged the enumerators to put up a good attitude or behavior and wished them well.

The chief of Nsutam, Osabarima Baafi Sarpong Kumankuma who doubles as the representative of the traditional leaders in the district’ s census committee thanked the census officials and used the opportunity to advise the citizenry the need to partake in the exercise.

However, the chief of Osino, Osabarima Otu Darko IV lauded the exercise as he stressed that the exercise would provide government the opportunity to know how to budget well to increase developmental projects in the country.

He also revealed that Population and Housing Census is not new to Ghanaians and therefore urged all the citizens of Osino and Ghana at large to partake in this all important exercise.

Mr John Vardie, the Fanteakwa south district coordinating director who doubles as the chairman of DCIC also said it’ s important for all the citizenry to partake in the exercise as it aids in planning the economy of the nation of which the district is part.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Akwasi Ntori Adjabeng who doubles as the Chief Census Officer in the district also advised those who plan of resisting the exercise to stop and contribute to its success. He added that the exercise is apolitical which means it is not conducted on party colours.
