Waiting for the president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo to mention names of the MMDCEs for the approval by Assembly members, let’ s dive into Abuakwa North Municipality in the eastern region.
Formerly East Akim Municipal Assembly, was carved into Abuakwa North and Abuakwa South Municipal Assemblies with Hon Twum Ampofo aka Pataku became the first MCE for Abuakwa North and Hon. Kojo Ofori- Safo, MCE for Abuakwa South.

Nana Asante Twum is a senior pastor from Hands For Christ Mission and was one of the nominees from Abuakwa North in the just ended vetting of MMDCEs.
Nana Twum Asante is affectionately called Nana Oat by his peers, friends, party faithfuls and all those who really know him.
Nana Twum Asante is currently offering his PhD in Migration Studies at the University of Ghana. He obtained his MPhil in Geography and Resource Development also from the University of Ghana.
Nana Twum Asante is an academic and holds BA Economics with Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana. He obtained his Diploma in Education from the Akrokerri College of Education. He is a pastor and holds Diploma in Theology from SOW, Kumasi.
Nana Twum Asante obtained a Certificate in Advance Excel and Financial Modeling from KTU.
Nana Twum Asante is currently the Eastern regional Free SHS coordinator and has been an ardent member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP.
Political
He is a member of the Abuakwa North Communication Team and has been revognised as member of the Government’ s spokesperson in the eastern region who is geared at defending, and propagating Government’ s policies.
He is again a Research Team Member for the party in the Abuakwa North constituency.
As an academic, Nana Twum Asante is a Member of teachers Campaign Team of the party and also a proud member the V- 20 Group, whose efforts cannot be written off I. the just ended 2020 election.
Even as he hopes to be nominated, the onus lies on the President to mention a name among the 5.
