Despite being recommended by the MMDCE Appointment committee but wasn’ t nominated in the final list, Nana Twum Ofosu Asante, a failed aspirant in the Abuakwa North municipality in the eastern region, sends a touching message to calm down his teeming supporters and the NPP fraternity in general.
According to Nana Twum Ofosu Asante known in the political phase as Nana Oat, it is time to put away their differences and fight towards a common goal of development in the municipality.
He has revealed that positions like this cannot only be determined by performance alone but other political determinants which may not be previse to but much grateful for the unflinching supports from the start to the finish.
In a message to calm his supporters and available to us, Nana Ofosu Asante urged his supporters to put themselves together to serve the common purpose of the elephant party. To him the ruling New Patriotic Party is bigger than any individual of the party so they must accept the decisions of the party.
” It is always good to praise God in every situation for he knows the time than what human imaginations can anticipate. At least I never disgraced those who supported me from the regional vetting to the national. However, positions like this cannot only be determined by performance alone but other political determinants which we may not be previse to. Let us put ourselves together to serve the common purpose of our great elephant party as the party is bigger than any individual’ s interest. ” – Nana Oat.
He used the opportunity to express his profound gratitude to all and sundry and congratulated the MCE nominee, Alhaji Umar Bodinga and assured him his support.

To those who I thought were my friends and senior brothers in politics but because of this position turned themselves into Ahitophels, I want to say that the game is over, let’ s come together to fight for a positive course. God never disappoints his children. To Alhaji Bodinga, I say congratulation for your nomination. ” – The statement added.
The presidents nominee, Alhaji Bodinga is the eastern regional 1st vice chairman of the party and has served the party for quite a longer time.
Nana Twum Ofosu Asante is the eastern regional coordinator for free SHS. He was also a circuit supervisor at the Ghana Education service from 2017- 2019. He is a member of the eastern regional communication team from 2018- date. Nana Twum Ofosu Asante has been a member of the Abuakwa North Communication team from 2012– date and was a member of the V- 20 group in the 2020 general election. He was also a member of the constituency research team.
