NPP Is Not For Kibi Alone – NPP Supporters Demonstrate Against MCE Nominee In Akufo-Addo’s Constituency

A section of the ruling New Patriotic Party Supporters in the Abuakwa South municipality in the eastern region which happens to be the municipality of the president, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo have hit the street to register their displeasure to the president and the party after disclosing the MCE nominee for the municipality.

The said demonstration came off at Apedwa, one of the traditional seats in the Akyem Abuakwa traditional Area where the citizenry hit the street with placards with various unpalatable inscriptions and headed towards the party office, locked it up and burnt the party flag hoisted there.

“We don’t need Akosua Asabea, NPP is not for Kibi alone, Why, Nana Addo? Retain Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo, Prez Nana Addo, you disappoint Apedwa, No MCE, No Vote” – statements on the various placards read. According to them

The three aspirants in the MCE race included the incumbent MCE, Hon. kojo Ofori-Safo, a native of Akyem Apedwa. Though he was recommended by the appointment committee, the final outcome got his name out and nominated Ms Akosua Asabea Annor, a native of Kyebi.
