AFCON: Dede Ayew misses training session ahead of crucial match against Gabon

The skipper for Ghana Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew reportedly missed his second training session ahead of Friday’s game against Gabon.

He is said to have missed the intense training session due to a head injury he suffered during the opening match against Morocco.

Before Ghana’s match against Morocco, Dede Ayew revealed that he hasn’t been feeling well since they landed in Cameroon for the 2022 African Cup of Nations.

In an interview with the press following the first game with Morocco which they lost by a goal in Yaounde, he emphasized that he decided to play because his colleagues supported him.

In his words, “I have not been feeling well for the past two days, I wanted to play, my colleagues wanted me on the pitch and I did everything because I have been waiting for this for three years now, we lost and I was unlucky to add a cut on my eye to it”
