Milovan Rajevac, the coach of the Black Stars, has dismissed suggestions that he should resign following Ghana’s dismal performance at the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Serbian coach claims he is on a mission to qualify Ghana for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Coach Milo stated to the press following Ghana’s humiliating defeat to Comoros that he intends to stay and accomplish the primary objective for which he was hired.
“I intend to remain and lead Ghana in the March World Cup Qualifiers,” Rajevac stated.
“My primary objective is to qualify Ghana for the World Cup; this AFCON is my secondary objective. I’m looking forward to Ghana’s World Cup qualification in March.”
The Black Stars were expected to win in order to advance to the next stage with four points after losing to Morocco and drawing with Gabon in their opening games.
However, Comoros, a FIFA 132-ranked side, produced arguably their best performance ever to stun Ghana, which played over 65 minutes with ten men after Andre Ayew was sent off.
