Ghanaian actor, politician, and entrepreneur, John Dumelo has bemoaned the terrible housing system in Ghana in relation to the poor.
He rightly pointed out that despite the prevailing hardship and the fact people are living on meagre salaries, homeowners demand 2 years’ rent in advance to compound the situatiom.
According to him, the system of Ghana put the vulnerable in debt before they even launch their life into perspective.
He wrote;
Your salary is 800gh, they pay you monthly, yet your landlord is taking 2 years rent advance for some small chamber and hall. This whole system is designed to put you in debt even before you start life…..
