Information currently emanating from Abuakwa South Municipality in the eastern region and on the desk of Radio1news reveals that some store owners at Kyebi, the capital of the municipality have started hoarding rice and other essential commodities awaiting price increment in the shortest possible time.
This was revealed by a food vendor from nearby town who went there to shop and was denied buying because they are awaiting new price increment.
“I am a food vendor at Apapam. I went to Kyebi to buy rice and other commodities but they don’t want to sell to me. They told me to go home because they were waiting for a new price. I did all i could but they didn’t sell. Due to that i couldn’t cook today. ” – victim shares her ordeal.
However, a team from Radio 1news went to Kyebi township to enquire but all stores they visited denied and requested that the team directs such buyers to their stores.
