Taxi drivers at Bunso junction in the eastern region have accused Pragya riders for the low patronage of their services.
According to the the dominance of Pragya around them coupled with other factors are killing the taxi business in the area.
They made this known in an interview with Radio 1 News and expressed that if prompt measures are not taken, the taxi bussiness will collapse.
“There are a lot of Pragya around us and their business is always moving. They charge little as compared to us because the Pragya consumes less fuel. They are killing our business.” – Taxi drivers bemoan.
Moreover, the taxi drivers added that, a lot of Passengers prefer taking pragya because it can move anywhere and even when there is traffic it uses the necks of the road.
Drivers union are therefore appealing to the government to stop importing pragya into the country for the taxi business is collapsing.
