Ayew’s photo has been used to decorate major buildings in Qatar, just like other superstars such as Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mane and former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez.

The World Cup, scheduled to be the 22nd edition of the competition, will take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022.

Black Stars will be led by a highly motivated Ayew in what will be his third appearance in the finals.

Ayew was outstanding in his previous two appearances. The 32-year-old was instrumental in Ghana reaching the quarter-finals in South Africa in 2010, and he scored twice in Brazil in 2014, though Ghana did not advance to the knockout stage.
