A philanthropist who doubles as the development chief of Akyem Nsutam in the Fanteakwa South District in the eastern region, Nana Abdul Razak Mohammed affectionately called Alhaji Tanko has donated a whooping Eight Thousand Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (¢8,500) to ensure injured Kofi Lumor undergoes plastic surgery (Skin Grafting).
Kofi Lumor’s sad story was aired, published and shared on social media platforms in order to appeal for support and thankfully, Nana Abdul Razak Mohammed, Yaks Roofing Systems Ltd and Sedikay Beauty Salon responded to the plea.
Kofi Lumor, a 53 year old citizen and resident of Akyem Nsutam in attempt to help accident victims landed a deep cut on the leg (ankle to be precise) and needed ¢15,000.00 for treatment.
However, the family together with other supports garnered through media managed to pay ¢6,500.00 and needed ¢8,500.00 to complete the expected revenue.
So, upon sighting the story, Alhaji Tanko inquired through Sompa Hemaa to authenticate the story.
Alhaji Tanko finally sent the remaining money i.e. ¢8,500 through his sister, Hajia Hawah Mohammed to make the donation on his behalf.
Kofi Lumor, in tears, expressed his profound gratitude to Alhaji Tanko, Yaks Roofing Systems Limited, Sedikay Beauty Salon and Radio 1 for coming to his aid and asked for God’s blessings upon all who through diverse ways supported the campaign in generating the amount.
The money has today 22nd August, 2022 been paid at the Hawah Memorial Hospital to expedite treatment on the embattled Kofi Lumor.
Thank you to all donors, especially Yaks Roofing Systems Ltd, a roofing company in the district which also donated ¢1,000.00 and Sedikay who added ¢100.00
Receiving the money on behalf of the Orthorthopaedic department of Hawa Memorial Hospital, John Kwaku Adusei revealed that, once the payment has been made, all the necessary arrangements will commence to begin the plastic surgery (Skin Grafting) in the shortest possible time. He assured the family that Kofi Lumor will surely walk again by the special grace of God.

Nana Abdul Razak Mohammed is the NPP diaspora chairman in Japan and recently built an ultramodern Mosque with his own money and handed it over to the Muslim community of Nsutam so this did not come as a surprise as he is noted for his generosity in the community and beyond.
