Chiefs Charged To Prioritize Education On Their Developmental Agenda- Nana Dwomoh Brobbey

The Progressive chief (Nkorsuohene) of Akyem Mboseaso, also the CEO of Capital View Hotel and Kingdwosco Constructions, Nana Dwomoh Brobbey I has charged traditional authorities in the various traditional areas in Ghana to prioritize education in their developmental agenda as a way of complementing the government in the education sector.

According to him, it is about time traditional leaders and individuals with enough resources at their disposal recognize the essence of education and the investment with their little resources in order to reduce the huge burdens on government.

He urged traditional leaders to refrain from the over complains and always waiting on government to embark on developmental projects but should rather contribute their bit so that together with the government we develop the country.

He made the disclosure when donating about 200 dual desks to Akyem Moseaso Methodist and Presby JHS which he single handedly constructed in the East Akim Municipality of the Eastern region.

Nana Dwomoh Brobbey further entreated students to stay away from galamsey activities and rather devote all their time into education and take their learning serious since many people have been rendered helpless even after fighting hard for a certain political party probably because they lack educational certificate to qualify them for certain positions.

Mr. George Yankyera, Atiwa East District Education Director received the dual desks and handed it over to the two schools.

He added that the desk has come at the right time since, Moseaso Methodist been the examination centre, the desks will help solve the furniture deficit the centre usually encounter during examination period.

He said Nana Dwomoh Brobbey has played critical role in education in the East Akim District hence he must be commended and reiterated that due to individual gestures like Nana Dwomoh Brobbey and with the support of the MP there are no schools under tree in the Atiwa East District.

The Benkum hene of Moseaso Nana Kyeremateng Atwedee also commended Nana Dwomoh Brobbey for being a man of his words towards education in the area and also for donating desks to support education in the district, and said he was the first individual to establish an ICT centre for junior & Senior high school students in the district.
