Radio/TV prime-time shows in Kumasi have been dominated by the Nhyira FM Obra programme hosted by Mama Efe and her co-hosts. A similar programme is hosted on Oyerepa FM by Auntie Naa.
Much as the programme is tailored towards assisting persons in difficulty, there is a detection of a near one-size-fits-all solution to the cases brought to the radio studios for arbitration, or to be solved, by the hosts.
And every ardent listener of the shows as mentioned earlier (Obra and Oyerepa Afotuo) will attest to the fact that only poor wives and husbands go there to share their marital problems for help or fair hearing, according to Evangelist Suro Nyame.
Per the observation of Evangelist Suro Nyame, no person with financial stability will take his or her marital issues to radio or television for discussion hoping to be solved, therefore, poverty should be eradicated from the country.
The famous evangelist reiterated that the hosts, Nhyira Fm’s Mama Efe and Oyerepa FM’s Auntie Naa born Eunice Naa Amerley Nortey have serious problems in their marriages, but will never address them on their respective radio stations because they are not poor compared to their clients.
