So far, 4 people including a pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church International have sustained various degrees of injuries in a morning accident on the Accra – Kumasi Highway.
The accident which occurred on the early hours of Thursday, 26th January 2023 around 7:00am involved Three Toyota vehicles and one Burkinabe trailer.
The vehicles involved are; Grey Toyota Highlander with registration number GS 8462 – Z
Dark Ash Toyota Hilux with registration number – GM 2480 -14
Toyota Vitz with registration number – GX 5085 – 20
According to Kibi MTTD, the Toyota Vitz en route from Accra to Kumasi burst the left front tyre and was seen twinning on the main road few meters from Birimso on the highway.
The trailer, the Toyota Hilux and the Toyota Highlander in attempts to swerve for safety collided and occupants sustained various injuries.
The Toyota Vitz and the Toyota Hilux were from Accra to Kumasi while the Trailer and the Toyota Highlander were also from Kumasi to Accra.
The wine colored trailer is also with registration number 11 MJ 0194
The 4 injured are transported to Kibi Government Hospital for treatment.
The Fanteakwa south Ambulance service, Kibi MTTD were on the seen to salvage the situation. As at the time of filing this post, towing vehicles were on the scene to tow the vehicles to the Kibi Police station for further investigation.
