In less than 24 hours of appealing to the public to help raise ¢1,500 to support ailing Stephen Kwame Asante, Radio1 could raise as much as three thousand eight hundred cedis (¢3,800.00) for his urgent medical treatment.
Stephen Asante, popularly known as Kwame Jackie is a 40 year old taxi driver at Bunso junction in the eastern regionand resides at Akyem Nsutam. He was diagnosed of cancer and was further advised to go for MRI scan.
Avenues and attempts to raise the said money for the scan was really difficult and had no option than to fall on Radio 1 for support.
Our benevolent audience never hesitated in donating their widows mite to help Kwame Jackie.
The ¢3,800 is for the scan while we await the lab report and further advise from the medical officers. However, we wish to express our profound gratitude to our cheerful donors and pray that God replenishes them more abundantly and exceedingly.
We again wish to humbly bring to their notice that, we may once again fall on them when the need arises.
