Fanteakwa South: Heavy Rainstorm Rips Off Nsuapemso D/A Basic School Block

Pupils and Teachers of Nsuapemso D/A basic school in the Fanteakwa South District in the eastern region went to school to see their school block ripped off due to yesterday’s rainstorm.

The rain which started about 5:30pm on Monday 6th February 2023 did not spare the school building.

The heavy storm carried away the roofing sheet to about 50m away from the building. No casualty is recorded, however, various properties are destroyed.

The Fanteakwa South NADMO is yet to report to the scene at the time of reporting, however, pupils and teachers are displaced. Teaching and learning have halted even as they await reroofing.

Many homes and projects including billboards in the district were destroyed as a result of the rainstorm.

This morning, the weather is not cloudy so there is hope that it won’t rain again.
