E/R: NSUTECH student allegedly murdered by boyfriend

A barber has allegedly murdered his Senior High School (SHS) girlfriend, identified as Abigail Mireku, a General Arts Form Two student at Akyem Nsutam in the Fanteakwa South District in the Eastern Region.

The incident which occurred this morning, Thursday, June 2, 2023, has thrown the Nsutam community into shock, agony, and sadness.

Radiooneghana.com gathered at the scene that, the suspect had dated the girlfriend for some time now and was battling misunderstandings.

Radiooneghana.com learned that the suspect had issues and misunderstandings with the girlfriend.

Speaking to an eyewitness he said: “We only know the guy as Emeka and he is from Togo, he has been working here for a while now, this morning I saw him opening the shop, and not too long his girlfriend was in her school uniformed came around a few minutes later I saw Emeka in a rush out he left,” he told Radiooneghana.com.

Speaking to another eyewitness who first saw the girl who is a student of Nsutem Senior High and Technical School (NSUTECH) lifeless body said: “I came to get my hair cut and when I got inside the I saw the lifeless body of the lady in a pool of blood.”

The lady was found in a pool of blood with the barbering machine tied around her neck inside the shop, but the boyfriend was nowhere to be found.

At the time of filing this report, the police were at the scene ready to convey the body.
