The Director of the National Commission for Civic Education in the Fanteakwa South, Kwadwo Adu-Asare said, “These young girls will continue to suffer these fates”.
He explained that; “ladies now find it fun depending on men for their upkeep, which later triggers this emotion backfires”.
“Major causes of these recent killings are as a result of lack of trust in a relationship, investing much money in ladies whether through schooling or trading and depending solely on men for their upkeep”, he stated.

“I want to encourage the ladies to find some work to do than to depend on men for their upkeep solely and I’m advising the students especially the girls to be content with whatever their parents give them to avoid being murdered by men”, he concluded.
He was reacting to a recent report that a barber had allegedly murdered his senior high school (SHS) girlfriend, identified as Abigail Mireku a General Arts form two student of Nsutem Senior High Technical School at Akyem Nsutem in the Fanteakwa South District in the Eastern region.
