Concerns regarding the potential selection of a running mate for the crucial 2024 election have intensified. Prince Henry Tabi, the Communication Director for “Friends of Julius Debrah,” conveyed in an interview with Nana Kwabena Addo, the host of Radio1’s Morning Show “Oman Mu Nsem”, that former President John Dramani Mahama should consider Julius Debrah as his running mate to enhance their chances of reclaiming power in the 2024 general election.
Within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), there is a fervent desire to assume control of the current administration. The Democratic Party is abuzz with anticipation and active preparation for the upcoming election, aspiring for nothing less than victory.
In the pursuit of a running mate dedicated to the overall welfare of the nation, Mr. Tabi and the members of the group appeal to former President John Mahama, the flagbearer of the largest opposition party, to select former Chief of Staff Julius Debrah as his running mate for the 2024 general election. Mr. Tabi emphasized that Debrah’s business acumen, contribution to reducing unemployment, and financial support for the party make him an ideal candidate.
“We are urging former President John Dramani Mahama to choose the former Chief of Staff as his running mate, which will significantly boost NDC’s chances in the next election. Mr. Debrah, being a businessman with a keen understanding of economic matters, will contribute to the 24-hour economy and provide substantial campaign funding,” explained Mr. Tabi.
While expressing their previous support for Professor Jane Naana and acknowledging her merits, Mr. Tabi emphasized the current need for someone like Julius Debrah within the NDC. “We fully supported Professor Jane Naana; we liked her, but now the NDC party requires someone of Julius Debrah’s caliber,” he added.
Julius Debrah, an experienced entrepreneur, social development specialist, and politician who previously served as Chief of Staff for the NDC, brings a wealth of knowledge gained through his diverse entrepreneurial endeavors across various sectors, involvement in tourism, and political activities. Mr. Debrah is perceived as possessing the awareness and capability to address Ghana’s socioeconomic needs and facilitate systemic changes that enhance the quality of life for Ghanaians.
