Zambians sing praises of Ghana coach Nora Hauptle

Nora Hauptle may have failed in her bid to secure Ghana’s ticket at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but she has won many hearts with her tactics and football belief.

Not only Ghanaians are raving about the Swiss tactician, but people in Zambia are also in awe of her brilliance.

In Zambia, Hauptle is trending, and some people are eager to see her stay and take over their national team. Zambians were impressed with how she set up her team to face Copper Queens on Wednesday.

Hauptle’s tactics paid off, as the Black Queens gave the Cooper Queens a tough challenge. Despite being favourites, Zambia had to work hard to secure qualification with a last-gasp goal.

Barbara Banda’s moment of brilliance saved the day for Zambia, as she scored a low free kick that caught the Ghanaian goalkeeper off guard. The goal ensured Zambia secured a 3-3 draw and qualified for the final round with a 4-3 aggregate score.

Many Zambians believe Hauptle deserves credit for her efforts, despite being on the losing end. Her stock has risen, and some are calling for her immediate appointment as the Zambia coach. They believe she is better than their coach Bruce Mwape.

Under Hauptle’s leadership, the Black Queens have transformed. She has instilled confidence in the team, and their performance has been impressive. Ghanaians are now keen followers of the team.

Hauptle took over a demotivated team and turned their fortunes around. They now play with confidence and determination. Even after losing in Accra, they were confident of beating Zambia in Ndola and came close to achieving it.

Thanks to Hauptle’s leadership, Ghana have qualified for its first Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament since 2018. They’ll be participating in the upcoming tournament in Morocco.

With her stock rising on the African continent, Hauptle might be tempted by better offers. The Ghana Football Association must act quickly to keep her on board, providing the necessary support and resources for her continued success.

Hauptle has an impressive record of 10 wins, two losses, and one draw in 13 games as Black Queens coach, with the team scoring 37 goals.
