The leader and founder of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro has reacted to the sudden demise of former Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah.

Amid allegations that the former Ejisu MP was poisoned to death, Prophet Oduro said God makes leaders therefore, any atrocious act like killing to secure power is not a guarantee to secure power.

“A nation that is 67 years is ready to poison people to death. What are they looking for? Power. How sure are you about that power. Who said NPP will win the next election? It is God who makes leaders.

“You are already killing people’s fathers and their husbands? Look at the pain you have caused this young lady pastor. The wife of the MP is a woman of God. You went to touch the anointed of the Lord when the Bible says touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm,” Prophet Oduro said to his congregation on Sunday.

Prophet Oduro further noted that one of Ghana’s reasons for grappling with economic difficulties and development is because of petty politics including murdering politicians.

“Up till today, Ghana is crawling is because there’s blood of innocent people on our hands including J.B Danquah Adu, J.B. Danquah senior and the blood of our fathers who we kill by petty party political sentiments,” he added.

The medical reports of my husband never pointed to poisoning – John Kumah’s wife

Meanwhile, wife of the late John Kumah has dismissed claims purporting that his husband died as a result of being poisoned.

“Why is it that someone has been this bold to claim that he knows for a fact that a person like John Kumah who has serviced his country virtually all his life, was poisoned, while he was working for his country and party (New Patriotic Party, NPP), why should we sit down and not bring that person to book.

“If it is true that a person who is not dead but alive claims that he knows how my husband (John Kumah) died and that he was poisoned, and that person is still moving around for the past three weeks, it hurts me, it saddens me and I do not know how best to express my frustrations about these false claims by Captain Smart,” she told Accra-based Asaase radio in an interview.
