The Minister disclosed that since the initial engagement, the Ministry has begun collecting comprehensive data on persons with disabilities to better understand their skills, qualifications, and specific needs. According to her, this initiative is critical to ensuring effective job matching and sustainable employment outcomes.

She further explained that the data collection exercise, which initially focused on the visiting group, has now been expanded nationwide to include other disability groups, in line with efforts to promote fairness and inclusivity.
Dr. Lartey noted that employment placements would be implemented in phases and coordinated across sectors to ensure efficiency and impact.

While acknowledging the frustrations expressed by the group, she assured them that engagements had not stalled, but were part of an ongoing process aimed at delivering long-term solutions.

The meeting concluded on a constructive note, with the Minister reaffirming her commitment to sustained dialogue with stakeholders and the implementation of targeted interventions to improve employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
