Solomon Nana Frimpong Organises Easter Intercommunity Gala to Empower Youth in Abuakwa South

The Chief Executive Officer of Golden Frimps Company Ltd, Solomon Nana Frimpong, has successfully hosted the “Solomon Nana Frimpong Easter Intercommunity Gala” in the Abuakwa South Constituency, aimed at promoting unity, youth empowerment, and football talent development.
Speaking to the media during the event, Mr. Frimpong—accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Frimpong, popularly known as Sweety—explained that the initiative seeks to bring communities together through sports while identifying promising young players for opportunities with professional football clubs both locally and internationally.
The tournament was held in two sessions, with the first phase taking place at the Kyebi Astroturf Park. Four teams competed at this stage: Akyem Odumase/Amanfrom FC, Akyem Potrase FC, Golden Star FC, and Okanta FC.

At the end of the competition on April 4, 2026, Akyem Odumase/Amanfrom FC emerged as champions. Akyem Potrase FC secured second place, followed by Golden Star FC in third, while Okanta FC finished fourth.
As part of the awards, the winning team received GH₵2,000, a set of jerseys, footballs, and a trophy. The runners-up took home GH₵1,500, two footballs, and a trophy. The third-placed team was awarded GH₵1,000 and a football, while the fourth-placed team received GH₵500.
The event drew participation from key stakeholders, including football stakeholders, former players of Accra Great Olympics, coaches, staff of Golden Frimps Company Ltd, community members, security personnel, and representatives of the Susanna Adwoa Frimpongma Appiah‑Pimpim Foundation, led by its General Manager, Wesley Danso (Master Cobby). Members of the media were also in attendance.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Frimpong expressed appreciation to all officials, invited guests, and community members for their support, noting that their contributions ensured the success of the event. He further assured that the gala will become a regular initiative to sustain youth development and football talent discovery within the constituency.
