President Mahama Attends Inaugural Libreville Forum on Innovation and Development

President has arrived in to participate in the maiden edition of the Libreville International Forum for Innovation and Development, a high-level gathering of global leaders, policymakers, investors, and technology experts.

The forum, hosted under the patronage of , President of the , is themed “Political Stability, Business Climate, and Artificial Intelligence: Catalysts for Growth.” It seeks to explore the intersection of governance, economic policy, and emerging technologies as drivers of sustainable development across Africa.

Organisers say the event is aimed at positioning Gabon as a regional hub for innovation and a prime destination for international investment. The forum also marks the official inauguration of the newly constructed , which will serve as a key venue for international conferences and diplomatic engagements.

The gathering is expected to conclude with the adoption of the “Libreville Declaration,” a framework outlining commitments by participating leaders to strengthen governance, promote transparency, and accelerate digital transformation across the continent.

President Mahama, known for his advocacy for public-private collaboration, is expected to use the platform to advance partnerships that bridge the gap between government policy and private-sector growth, with the aim of fostering inclusive and sustainable development.

The President is accompanied by senior government officials, including , who also serves as Spokesperson to the President.
